In January of 2023 we were hired to help document a pivotal event at the Oakland International Airport. Concessionaires at any airport are required to go through a lengthy and complex process to set up storefronts and restaurants. This process can be difficult for small and diverse businesses. The Social Responsibility staff for the Airport realized that many Oakland small business vendors could actually sell their wares directly to concessionaires – a much more accessible process that benefits everyone, including the airport customers.
Together Pictures was hired to create a series of short videos for social media and to take photos to document the fair. This pioneering event is sure to be replicated at other airports throughout the country.
