The Challenge
Tasty Shop Media was contracted by Urban Movie Channel to help get the word out about their streaming movie service. Tasty Shop hired us to create a #BlackGirlMagic video series for Women’s History Month as part of a larger social media engagement strategy.
Methods
Tasty Shop Media and our staff worked hand in hand to identify iconic African-American women in a variety of professions, and align these heroes to a storyline featuring a young woman exploring the meaning of #blackgirlmagic through social media.
Outcomes
The campaign achieved over 18,000 views on Facebook and Youtube and brought new audiences to UMC, especially within the target demographic of Black women. The videos continue to generate views, increasing brand awareness for UMC.
