The Challenge

The Alameda County WIC office needed diverse crew-members for a series of videos covering health and nutrition for moms and young children. After videos launched online, WIC staff realized they weren’t getting the number of views that they had anticipated.

Methods

We provided an African-American Camerawoman and Spanish-speaking video editor to work with the rest of the team. We also optimized their English and Spanish youtube pages for maximum impact.

Outcomes

Our work during production increased the comfort level of on-camera participants and cultural accessibility of the final videos. Our work on their YouTube channel increased video views – from less than 80 views to nearly 50 million views and 32,000 subscriptions as of July 2020.
