About CB Director/DP & Founder CB Smith-Dahl has created hundreds of fiction and non-fiction social media videos for clients throughout California. Fluent in Spanish, CB has lived on 3 continents and traveled in 5. Before moving to Oakland in 2004, she had worked as a focus puller, camera operator, grip, electrician, and gaffer - in Atlanta and Los Angeles. She has a BA from Spelman College and also an MFA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts.She's an active member of the Brown Girls Doc Mafia, Women of Cinematic Arts, and the Collective of Documentary Women Cinematographers and has mentored diverse young filmmakers for over 15 years. Edgar Director/Editor, Post Supervisor A creative force, Edgar Ayala supervises all projects as they progress from the shoot to delivery. In addition to supervising the work of all Together Pictures editors, he often edits projects himself. With an eye for cinematic form and rhythm, he is a graduate of the San Francisco State University Film Program, where he specialized in Audio Engineering and Production. He consistently brings together images, audio, and music in the most beautiful ways for our videos and podcasts. He is also a DJ and one of the promotors for local music collectives Global Barrio and Vivrant Thangz. Danielle Director/Field Producer & DP Danielle Thompson oversees sets on a variety of projects for Together Pictures. Whether she's working as a camerawoman partnered with a Director or directing a crew herself, her work balances the technique and beauty. A graduate of Oakland's MetWest High School, Danielle started out with Together Pictures as an intern. Over the past decade she’s become a force of nature on sets throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and was recently awarded a filmmaking grant from Red Bull. She currently teaches filmmaking in the Oakland Unified School District's Youth Beat program and is also completing her Bachelor's in Communication at Cal State East Bay. Beto Camera Operator & Drone Specialist Beto Lopez is a motion specialist. He combines his experience as a dancer, rollerskating enthusiast, and RC car racer to create moving camera shots and angles. Lately he’s been in high demand for his aerial cinematography/drone work throughout the United States, China, and Spain. Bodie DP, Camera Operator, Editor Bodie Reese has been working in independent film, documentary, and industrial videos for nearly a decade. They are a visual storyteller with heart who brings creative excellence to everything they do in the San Francisco Bay Area. They have a Bachelor of Screen Arts (Cinematography) from Unitek - from their home country of New Zealand. Curtis Still Photographer Curtis Jermany is the founder of two photography companies: A Love Affair, specializing in weddings and Moodology Photography, which focuses on studio portraits, high fashion, and documentary photography.Recently he's expanded his skill set and become an accomplished music video Director and Editor. Heidi Still Photographer Heidi Alletzhauser is an agency-preferred San Francisco photographer. She specializes in headshots, modeling portfolios for kids + teens/young adults, and live event photography. She also creates photo collages that have been exhibited at numerous local art galleries. James Audio Tech A graduate of Oakland High School, James Harrisson first started doing sound while attending CSU-Los Angeles. He's well versed in both capturing production sound on set and sweetening audio during editing and post-production. Jenny Director of Photography & Editor Jenny Chu produces video news stories and documentaries both locally and abroad. She has documented the ethnic minority groups of China, an evolving Shanghai, and stories of music & survival in several East African countries. She is currently in process to become an FAA certified drone operator. She has a Masters in Journalism from Cal Berkeley. Kee Camera Operator Talented with both brushes and lenses, this visual artist often shoots photos and video for us. Kee Romano's work with the Berkeley Mural Festival, Oakland Mural Festival, Attitudinal Healing Connection, San Francisco Women’s Center, and Oakland Public Schools can be found throughout the Bay Area. Keith Editor A freelance editor and motion graphics specialist with an eye for storytelling. Keith Strand has experience as a musician and with agency work. He always finds the hidden gems in raw footage. He is a graduate of New York University. Mel Artist/Technician/Builder When something needs to be built, we call Melanin Buford. He's a painter and sculptor who also creates everything from set installations to time lapse camera rigs. Narce Camera Operator Narcelito Guinto Jr (aka Narce) is a Oakland based filmmaker. Talented with all kinds of cameras, they focus on telling stories of historically oppressed groups like women, people of color and the lgbtqai+ community. Roy DP, Equipment Supplier We started hiring Roy Wanguhu over a decade ago. He always brings an incredible eye to every project he DP's. We also rent gear from his company, Elewa Camera, one of just a few Black Owned camera/lighting rental houses in the US. He's an owner/operator with over 10 years of experience on everything from documentaries and commercial content to music videos and live music performances. He's a graduate of Alameda High and Cal State East Bay.
